Profile:

Mikita Hase, born in Shizuoka prefecture, got familiar with Taiko from an early age, and after graduating from Shizuoka University(Education), started his career as a professional musician. He studied under Eitetsu Hayashi, who is the pioneer of Taiko Soloist, and experienced a number of large stages to study as an performing artist. In 2000, Hase formed the taiko unit "Yosoro", and worked on the composition and production of the stage for 16 years until its dissolution.

 

Hase enthusiastically creates a lot of original works, and performs all over the world. He is also trying positively to exchanging  with artists of various fields,  event production, school performances, and providing taiko pieces. He has a good reputation for his highly musical performances and the beautiful style of an Odaiko playing learned by Eitetsu Hayashi.

He has own 4 classes "UTSU-LA" in Shizuoka. He has many workshop experiences both domestically and internationally. He was invited as a special lecturer from Japan at the "East Coast Taiko Conference" held in the United States in 2017.
